Field Day FAQ

Field Day does not recommend or support consumption of any product past its expiration or use by date as quality, food safety, taste, and texture may be compromised.

No. The bags are made using grease resistant flourochemical treated papers. These papers are FDA and EU compliant for use in microwave popcorn bags. We do not use or add PFOA, PFOS, PFCAs.

Yes all of our peanuts and finished peanut butter products are tested and must meet the standards for Aflatoxins.

All of Field Day's Canned Beans are soaked prior to cooking, however, length and time varies based on the beginning moisture of the bean, water temperature, and type of bean. The beans are then tested during the soak process to achieve the desired moisture before canning. After soaking, the beans are cooked at a high temperature and pressure for 12 minutes.

All Field Day Canned Tuna is wild and sustainability caught using pole and line catch methods.  This fishing method uses one person and one fishing pole to catch tuna one-by-one near the seas surface.  By using this catch method and not using any fishing aggregated devises (often used to attract a high volume of fish), we greatly reduce bycatch of larger marine animals, endangered animals or unwanted species.  Fisherman can easily release any unwanted species and help reduce the risk of overfishing in comparison to other large-scale fishing methods.  All of our tuna is certified dolphin safe by the International Dolphin Safe Monitoring Program to ensure that our tuna is caught without endangering any dolphins.

Our Chunk White Albacore is rated Best Choice and our Chunk Light Skipjack is rated Good Alternative by the Monterey Bay Aquarium Seafood Watch Program.

All of our tuna is Non-GMO Project Verified, Kosher Certified, Gluten Free, and packaged in BPA Non-Intent can lining.

Field Day Extra Virgin Olive Oil is a blend of three main Spanish varieties – Arbequina, Cornicabra, and Picual. All are harvested in Spain. This blend creates a multipurpose oil that is good for both cooking and finishing as it has a balanced flavor that will not mask other ingredients.

After the olives are harvested, they are washed to remove debris and crushed within 24 hours to ensure the highest-grade oils are produced. Absolutely no chemicals, solvents, deodorizers, or heat are used in the processing to ensure the oil retains all of the olives’ natural health benefits.

Every lot code of Field Day Extra Virgin Olive Oil is analyzed to ensure there has been no adulteration in the finished product in order to comply with the European Union regulations. This ensures that the olive oil is 100% pure and not blended with any other oils that may be of a lower quality or chemically refined.

Every shipment is accompanied by a certificate of analysis as our commitment to quality control.

Field Day includes an allergen label any time any of the “Top 8 Allergens” recognized by the FDA are used directly as an ingredient within the products recipe.  You can find these top 8 allergens listed under the “CONTAINS” section if the product includes them.

Peanuts, tree nuts, milk, eggs, fish, shellfish/crustaceans, wheat (gluten) and soy.

All products that are certified gluten free carry the certification seal on packaging.  Some products are not certified by a third party agency so they do not carry the certification seal on packaging, but do claim gluten free.  These products have been tested for gluten within the facility and meet the requirements for less than 20ppm of gluten.

Mustards, granola, brown rice pasta, brown rice and quinoa blend pasta, pasta sauce, pizza sauce, and instant oatmeal.

We understand your concerns in relation to possible allergens hidden within these terms. Please note, these terms are not meant to be confusing, they are listed this way in order to keep our recipes different from others, similar to a secret recipe. If you are seeking additional information in order to confirm whether or not the product is safe for your consumption, please fill out the contact form, let us know which allergens/ingredients are a concern for you, and someone will be able to assist you.

Field Day's Organic Low Sodium and Regular Chicken Broth's contain onion powder. Field Day's Organic Low Sodium and Regular Vegetable Broth's contain garlic powder. The Organic Beef Broth does not contain garlic or onion.

No Field Day products contain added MSG.  The FDA requires that foods containing added MSG list it in the ingredient panel on the packaging as monosodium glutamate. If MSG occurs naturally in ingredients the agency does not require the label to include "naturally occurring MSG”.  MSG cannot be listed as "spices and flavoring".

Natural flavors are flavors that are derived from natural sources including herbs, spices, botanicals, fruits, vegetables or any plant matter.

Organic spices refers to any aromatic vegetable substance in the whole, broken, or ground form where the primary function is to season. Our “organic spices” do not include onions, garlic, or celery.

Guar gum is the natural substance obtained from the maceration of the seed of the guar plant. Primary functions: Emulsifier, stabilizer, thickener, firming agent in foods.

Field Day Apple Cider Vinegar does not contain the mother. The vinegar still contains enzyme (acetobacter) after pasteurization. Pasteurization does not kill it completely, but definitely slows down the process. Some of the probiotics are broken down but not all. Unfiltered, pasteurized, vinegar will still have some of the mother but is much more shelf stable than the raw.

No fluoride is added.

The calcium carbonate used in Field Day's Honey Nut O's is derived from limestone.

A majority of Field Day products that are vegan include a call out on packaging.  If the ingredients appear to be vegan, and there is no call out, you may reach out to us via the contact us form for verification.

Yes. All Field Day products use certified sustainable palm oil.

Our paper products are whitened using hydrogen peroxide. No chlorine bleach is used.

Field Day's tissue products, facial tissues, and bath tissues are biodegradable as they immediately start to breakdown in the toilet, septic system, or sewer. The paper towels are considered compostable, meaning in a bio-composing environment they can breakdown; paper towels are not officially considered biodegradable as they are typically disposed in the trash, which ends up in a landfill - they will eventually break down but the process is not fast enough to earn the biodegradable label.

No! All of Field Day’s household and paper products are cruelty free.
